The fact that it’s nearly impossible to filter out double cab Silverados on Cars.com. The dumb sellers say these are the extended cab and double cab models, complicating everything.

In the meantime, I’m thinking about upgrading to a newer Silverado and if I’m gonna be getting 13 city, I may as well be getting it in a full size with a V8 instead of a mid size with a V6. It’s also way easier to have a larger truck for my business because the Tacoma isn’t great at hauling equipment.

It’s either getting an LTZ from 2014+ and paying mostly cash, or financing a newer LT trim with heated cloth and a couple others.

I’ve decided I don’t want a Tundra because dated, don’t want a Ram because ugly stupid radio knob shifter and non Cummins Mopar product and I don’t want an F-150 because I don’t like the interiors.

having gone from a 5.7L V8 Hemi to a 2.7L EcoBoost...

you don’t need the V8. The only reason to get it really is to make loud noises and even then the stock mufflers make them quite tame.

Honestly, the Ford is faster than the Hemi I had. Not that the Hemi was a slouch by any means but...

As for the interior, the cloth is fine. Mine’s gray inside and I don’t mind it. The Ram also had a gray interior. Test drive a 2.7L or 3.5L EcoBoost, give it a shot. As for the Sierra and Silverado, I didn’t even bother looking at them to be honest. Same for the Titan and Tundra. The 2019 Rams are significantly more money than the 2018s but you can get a really nice deal on a 2018 right now since they’re trying to move them.

That is exactly why I want a V8, I can’t have a full size without one. I really don’t want another V6 truck.

I just hate cloth, especially easily to stain light colored ones. I got seat covers for my Tacoma, but they are super uncomfortable.

I dissagree. It looks much more purposeful with steel wheels, plus, being off road you don’t want to scratch up that black paint and end up with uglier rims.

That’s like the day laborer/company assigned truck version. If you buy a upper trim truck you do not get shitty wheels.

Luxury truck needs nice things, not shitty steel wheels. If I buy an expensive truck, it is not going offroad besides dirt roads.

The standard 18" alloys on the LT z71 pack look good enough.

Double cab is the new extended cab because extended cab doesn’t exist anymore. My father-in-law’s ‘17 LT Z71 CCSB 5.3 does about 14-15 city.

It won’t beat the feeling of a column shift but as a packaging solution it can’t be beat. It tskevup so little space, and that’s awesome it’s an electronic switch it could literally be a few buttons on your steering wheek(that would be terrible) but the point is it save space and makes your huuuuuge truck feel even hugrlier. Also it should be transferred into every FCA vehicle. Except Fiats because they need a spot for a manual gear shifter.

Is it actually even possible to make that mistake though? I would imagine si nce it’s a softkey instead of having a cable linkage to the transmission, it would lock you out of shifting into reverse when moving forward.
